Our nursery is sold…plants, equipment and properties!

At the end of May, 2019, our Main Farm on Rt 20, Perry, was sold at a Kiko’s auction to our neighbor to the north…Tom Hurst at Briar Rose Nursery (the old Moretti nursery).  We are happy that all three properties will remain in agriculture!  Our Antioch Farm in North Perry was sold to Rainbow Farms earlier this year.  Our Sasu Farm on North Ridge Road was sold to Beardslee Nursery in December 2017.

What’s next?

Kris continues working part-time at Ballantine’s Florist, Mentor, and Mark is working part-time as bookkeeper at Lake County Historical Society, Painesville.  Two great jobs for sixty-somethings!  Mark also remains busy with immigration advocacy and projects on local nursery history.  Kris maintains an active schedule with card club (most members are women nursery-owners or former-owners!), book club, socializing with former Gilson Ladies and visiting with our new grand-daughter!
