This was a very productive year for Ohio Invasive Plants Council with the development of an Assessment Protocol and Assessment Policies for Ohio. We were able to do this in conjunction with Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association, which formally endorsed the ‘Assessment Process’ this fall. Below is a link to an article I wrote about this process that was published in The Buckeye, November/December issue. I took the photo that appears at the beginning of the article during an invasive plant ‘walkabout’ at The Holden Arboretum. I was standing in a creekbed and looking up at my fellow ‘walkers’ at the time and I think they look like they’re on an African Safari.
Rick Wenham, Bill Hendricks, Randy Zondag and Tim Brotzman are the nurserymen in the middle of the photo with Holden people on the ends: http://www.onla.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/home.showpage/pageID/108/index.htm
