Gardeners of Greater Cleveland

Last night Kris and I did our first dynamic duo Powerpoint Presentation! Our audience, Gardeners of Greater Cleveland, a long-standing and prestigious group, seemed to like it! They served us dinner at the Bratenahl Towers and then took us upstairs to the Penthouse where two walls of windows provided a tremendous view of the Cleveland sunset. Kris and I took turns talking about the History of Nurseries in Lake County and the Western Reserve. Afterwards, we learned a lot about nursery history ourselves during our conversations with about forty members.

One of slides talked about the Kallay Brothers publishing their catalog in Hungarian for forty five years! A guest informed me that Cleveland had the largest population of Hungarians…outside of Hungary…for many years! That explains it!
